Return Goods Policy
At American Photonics, we stand behind the quality of our products. Please review our return policy below to ensure a smooth return process.
Eligible Returns
Items may be accepted for return under the following conditions:
- Returned within 10 days of the shipment date
- Approved in advance by both the APC Sales and Finance Departments
- Items ordered or shipped in error (with email approval)
- Defective products, subject to inspection and approval by APC Manufacturing
While defects are rare, all returned items will be inspected prior to approval.
Returns After 10 Days (Old Inventory Rule)
Returns requested after the 10-day window may still be considered and are subject to:
- A 30% restocking fee, or
- A minimum fee of $30.00, whichever is greater
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Discounted or clearance items
- Modified standard products
- Special or custom parts
- Used or damaged items
- Items older than 6 months from the shipment date
- Items with damaged or incomplete packaging
Return Authorization (RMA Required)
All returns must have a valid Return Material Authorization (RMA) prior to being sent back.
To request an RMA:

- Call Customer Service at (941) 752-5811
Returns received without an RMA will not be accepted.
Credits & Refunds
- Approved returns will be issued as a credit to your account for future purchases
- We do not offer cash or credit card refunds
- In some cases, a store credit (gift card) may be issued for online purchases
Warranty
American Photonics (APC) warrants its products to the original end user as follows:
- Lenses and Mirrors: 30 days from shipment
- Nozzles and Accessories: 45 days from shipment
This warranty covers manufacturing and material defects only and does not apply to consumable products.
If a returned item is determined to be damaged due to misuse or improper handling, APC reserves the right to:
- Deny the return, and/or
- Charge additional shipping and handling fees
